Daniel E. Levenson has been writing for publication since the age of 13 when he had his first newspaper article appear in the Sharon Advocate. His poetry has appeared in print and on the radio, and he has done work for a variety of media outlets including the Associated Press, WBUR radio and The Patriot Ledger. He was a Literary Fellow at Dudley House, Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, during the ’05-’06 academic year, and is presently a Non-Resident Tutor in Creative Writing at Eliot House, Harvard College.
Daniel has read his poetry and fiction at a variety of different venues, from the Lizard Lounge to Borders bookstore. He recently read his work before enthusiastic audiences at the Somerville Public Library and Harvard University. His poetry has appeared in a variety of publications including Mosaic, SP Quill Quarterly Magazine and Poetalk. He has recorded his poems for the nationally syndicated radio program “Here and Now” on WBUR (Boston’s NPR affiliate).
He is presently promoting his newest collection of poetry, entitled Are These My Lions? and recently completed his first novel, a piece of literary fiction that deals with themes of war, religious tolerance and intellectualism in 21st century America. In August of 2007 he released a new collection of essays on the natural world, entitled Among The Silent Trees.
